Judging from the trailer this movie looks terrible. I can't buy him as an actor anymore. How many Hitler movies do we need?

I always thought Cruise was a terrible actor until I saw his role in "Tropic Thunder", an otherwise awful movie. It's worth seeing Thunder for his 10 minutes on the screen.

and is being promoted as the blockbuster of the year. Quite frankly anyone who thinks the plot and assination attempt on Hitler is well, "boring". I suggest you talk to your relatives who were involved in the Great World War 11. They may have some issues with you.

Great call, Jamiche
Cruise was awesome in Tropic Thunder, which I finally got a chance to see. His dancing at the end, prior to and during the final credits, had me rolling. Great moves for a 'big' man...

Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep have the same problem. They seem to be doing a great job, but I can never buy into the character. It always looks like Cruise or Streep playing a role.
As Peter Griffin more eloquently said in reference to the Godfather, "It insists on itself."
They seem to insist on themselves. Maybe it's the intensity and highly defined characters they create that seem somewhat unnatural. People are generally more complicated and fuzzy around the edges than that.
