And the Gophers took third in the tournament without any First Team All Big Ten wrestlers. :eek: :eek:

This makes it look like a disastrous winter sports season all around.

Penn State is a very talented team this year, and hardly graduate anyone IIRC. They had a couple freshman win, and their 174 pounder is a stud. They'll be good for a few years to come. Good thing, IMO, as they kept the hogeyes from winning :)

The Gophers also have a young nucleus with Ness, Nelson, Reiter, Thorn and Deitchler to name just a few. They will be making some noise in the future.

strong HS pipeline in PA and NJ and Cael

i think we'll be seeing them at or near the top for a while
