I didn't listen to the radio tonight and was wondering what he said? I mean I can guess what was said, but was he pissed or yelling or short?

No doubt what he said on the radio show was different than what he said in the locker room.
He is usually very composed in public but quite blunt in private with his team(s).

I think Tubby summed it up pretty well here -
The Gophers could've reached a tie for first-place with a win, but instead dropped back to fifth in the logjam that is the top half of the Big Ten. They travel to Ohio State on Saturday, whom they are now tied with in the conference.
"Hopefully we won't soil ourselves like we did tonight," Smith said with a laugh. "We were scared; I thought we soiled our pants tonight."
Puts it pretty well. :)

That is an apt description by Tubby. That was an (Saturday Night Live skit) "Oops I crapped my pants" performance by the Gophers. Good teams bounce back from performances like that. MSU did, I'm sure Duke will, and Saturday let's hope the Gophers do the same. We'll have our hands full with the Buckeyes, but they are not MSU. I expect a tight game, with the winner greatly enhancing its chances for a NCAA bid and first-round bye at the BTT.

Go, Tubby! That's going to happen when you lose three senior starters and start a true soph and two true frosh at East Lansing. Two years from now will be different.

Right on. I think goes right to the thread about slow starts & leadership. Most of these guys are young and have never experienced anything like this. I saw a quote previously from RSIII about how nervous he was at home for the first game against Mich St. - Can you imagine how many guys felt that way playing at their place with a piece of the lead on the line?
Looking at the big picture - so far we've only lost to the top couple BT teams (and one outstanding performance by NW at home). Hell, Duke was killed on the road this week. I guess they "soiled their pants" as well. It just goes to show why we all love college basketball so much... It's unpredictable.
Let's just hope they learned from the experience and come out strong & aggressive against tOSU.
Go Gophers!

Attention all posters....Unless you have truly ESPERIENCED what Tubby felt at MSU the other day, words can not express the feeling of helplessness a Coach feels. I have been there, done that, on both ends of the spectrum, i.e. our game versus IL and our game at MSU. I would like to sum up Tubby's feelings with a quote I made, many years ago, when asked for post game comments: "We played so poorly tonight, that if we would have been in a four team tournament, we would have come in fifth."

I didn't know the Holdingford paper typically interviews its 5th grade girl's assistant coach for post-game reactions?
