Ramblings from the weekend that was in college basketball, and a special shout-out to Al Nolen's ankle. Heal, heal, heal. I don't think this team's going to the NCAA Tournament if Al's out for any extended period of time. But then again, it is situations like these when I'm thankful the Gophers now have a top-shelf coach on the sideline. Tubby proved last year he can squeeze out a NCAA bid when a season appeared all but down the crapper. Let's hope Al recovers quickly so Tubby and his players don't have to perform another late-season miracle. Doing it once is tough enough. Doing it two years in a row would be Herculean.

It would be a strange set of circumstances if a team that has been in the top 25 most of the year, does not make the tournament.
