What did everyone think? Overall I'd give him a B-. A little too corny and over the top with the ref thing (what was that?). And I knew he couldn't resist doing a song off his new CD which was a bit lame. Tenth Ave. rocked.
He's still the one guy I'd pay to see in a big arena and I'll be at the X in May.

It was certainly a loud spectacle and it seems that a lot of people were terribly impressed. I, for one, was not.

Not a big fan, but the dude can still bring it.
I liked his over-the-top set.
"for the next twelve minutes..." "step away from the guacamole..." = great lines.
Funny crotch-shot as well.

I'm just glad he stayed away from the cliche and didn't play "Born In The U.S.A."

I thought it was perfect for the venue. It is a spectacle after all, being theatrical and over the top seemed to me to be the perfect approach. I really liked the performance.

Personally, I'd rather watch two pee wee football teams play than most of the halftime shows.

How 'bout a naked powder puff game?

As long as I get to be quarterback!

It was safe, predictable, and the music was quite obviously pre-recorded... Consider me underwhelmed. Bruce was there so he could get 15 minutes of advertising for his new record, so for him it was a success.

Iowa,
Do you QB from the shotgun or from under center?

The best part of the halftime show was when Bruce slid into the camera and got hit in the nads.

My friend said that took homosexuality to a whole new level. I agreed.

Not as good as McCartney or Prince, but better than the Stones. Bruce and his band need a longer set list to get in a groove. They're used to playing 3-1/2 hour intermissionless shows.

It felt like an audience of millions meeting a very loud garage band with a tipsy lead singer to me. Perfect for the venue.

I'm guessing your version of the QB sneak might have a different twist to it.

personally it bothers me when rockers don't do the respectable thing and retire when they get old, or at least die young.
there is nothing worse than an old guy trying to rock out.

That's dumb. What's it to you if they keep doing what they love?

Usually in shotgun but in this case it would definitely be under center.
