Besides Tulane and Syracuse,

does anyone think it is strange--and maybe a bad omen, that we are closing out the dome era only to play our first game in the non-dome era in a dome?

No, I think this might be a good omen. I'm not a big believer in curses but I'm beginning to think there must be something acting out against the Gopher football team. Maybe it is the curse of tearing down Memorial Stadium, dedicated to WWI Vets and the home field of 6 Gopher Football National Champions, and moving into that rented dome. Let's pass the curse to another football program will a rich history that now lives in a dome. The Cubs have the Curse of the Billy Goat, the Detroit Lions have the Curse of Bobby Layne and the Red Sox had the Curse of Babe Ruth. At least the Red Sox showed that curses can end.
