I was just wondering, why didnt we recruit this kid harder. I know we offered a scholly to him, but it didnt seem like we were pushing hard for him.
 


This is addressed in another thread, but long story short, he wanted to go to UW for whatever reason, committed, and Tubby was hired after, did not pursue him as he'd already committed.

I don't know that he would have come here had Tubby been coach before, but he wanted to play for UW over UMN when it was Monson here, and Tubby didn't go after him being he was already committed to UW.

Yes but he had already committed to Wisky in 2007 before the coaching change.

Gophers needed size in 2008 class (Sampson, Iverson, Carter) and landed best G in Canada (Joseph) plus JuCo POY (Bostick) that year.
