Maybe we should file this game (and set of predictions) under -- "Wow, we didn't see that coming!"
MillionMoves wins tonight's Predict the Score with a prediction of 62-61, a mere 28 point variance from the actual 59-36 score. In fact, nobody on either side of the predicting fence did all that well in predicting the actual scores 'cause "Wow, we didn't see that coming!"
But 26 predicted a Golden Gopher win while 17 folks here spurned the chance to be part of history. (yeah, some even used that shopworn, Sid-like, fence-straddler line "sure hope I'm wrong" or "I'll pick the Illini and put a hex on 'em" Bah! Humbug!)
Here's the top five finishers, those erstwhile fans who predicted a Gopher win and the sorry flock of fairweather fans who donned Illini Orange when making their predictions.
