First half notes (GUARD THE 3!!)

1. Hoffarber is really good on offense. He needs to guard the 3-point line better.
2. Good deal that Devoe Joseph is back today. He is really playing well. Will Devoe be a "star" this season?
3. Mbakwe's interior presence is simply outstanding, both rebounding and D. He's a complete difference-maker.
4. Sampson doesn't seem to be in it today. Iverson not as sharp as he could be.
5. Rodney needs to sit. He's obviously injured - why risk injuring him further??
6. Austin, Maverick, Chip all playing solid minutes. The incoming class appears to be better than some on the board have been whining about. Austin will challenge Rodney for minutes this season.
7. GUARD THE #$*@#& 3-POINT LINE!! I never understood why, when we have all that inside presence, we worry about doubling up on interior passes. Especially to an undersized team. Come on guys, this team is a 3-point shooting team - ADJUST!
8. If it weren't for Virginia's stellar 3-point shooting, this game would be a blowout (currently 39-29).
9. On the other hand, if it weren't for Blake's and Devoe's 3-point shooting, we'd be behind.
10. Nolen could be really useful today to guard Farrakhan. If UVa stays hot from behind the arc, we may yet lose this game.
