Focusing on where this team wants be at the end of the season, I don't think the game yesterday could have gone much better. Here's why I say that:

- They learned how to deal with the nerves and hype of playing a name team and overcame it
- They got their young bench players some good minutes in a tight game against quality opposition
- Even the mistakes were valuable: there are lots of coachable moments for Tubby to work on with the team and get better AND they got the win
- They learned how to keep their composure and win a tight game (something they had trouble with last year)
- They showed the balanced scoring and multiple threats to keep opposing coaches up at night trying to figure out how to defend
- This is going to be a big confidence booster for the entire roster
- They did all this with arguably their best offensive player not playing -- That will only make them better when he does return.

All the way around, it was a good day for Tubby and the boys!

Go Gophers!
