Let's find a silver lining at least until Sunday, when we all hope the Gophers get back on the winning track. The good news is, despite their 2-game slide, we're past the 1/3 mark of the Big Ten season and the Gophers hold one of the five byes for the Big Ten Tournament in Indy. The Gophers would be the 4 seed. That's right Mike Davis, the 4 seed, the 4 seed, we're the 4 seed, we're the 4 seed. If the Gophers hold that position at the end of the Big Ten regular season, I don't think many people here would complain, except for a select few. Me personally? I'll take anything in the top 5.

Here's how the BTT shapes up as of today. We'll take another look after the Gophers have reached the halfway point (after the Illinois game).

Thursday, March 12 (1st round)
11 a.m. -- #8 Michigan (3-4) vs. #9 Northwestern (2-4)
1:30 p.m. -- #7 Ohio State (3-3) vs. #10 Iowa (2-4)
4 p.m. -- #6 Wisconsin (3-3) vs. #11 Indiana (0-5)

Friday, March 13 (Quarterfinals)
11 a.m. -- #1 Michigan State (5-1) vs. Michigan/Northwestern winner
2:30 p.m. -- #4 GOPHERS (4-3) vs. #5 Penn State (4-3)
5:30 p.m. -- #2 Illinois (4-2) vs. Ohio State/Iowa winner
8 p.m. -- #3 Purdue (4-2) vs. Wisconsin/Indiana winner

Thanks SS....More to look forward to in upcoming weeks.
