How in the hell does the U think that Dave Lee is a better announcer than Frank Mazzocco? This is just another small example of the dysfunction in our revenue sports. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't in love with Mazzocco, but in comparison to Lee...OMG!
 

We were so spoiled having Ray here for so long but I agree with your post...Lee is horrible.
 

I think it was an FSNorth thing. Not a U thing.
 

A university should have enough clout to determine who announces its games. If you didn't understand English, Dave Lee might sound like a sportcaster. He's been described as a color guy doing radio. He misses the fundamentals of covering sports on the radio. He leaves you guessing. He gets the field position and down wrong. He doesn't know who the players are well, he gets it wrong so often.
 

What was wrong with Mazzocco? I don't get that at all.

Im pretty sure it was a budget thing. Paying an experienced guy like Mazzocco became more expensive than an inside FSN guy like Lapanta.

I don't agree with it. I didn't mind Mazzocco at all. Whatever.
