Sorta funny that a loss to Purdue will be more of a "bad loss" than NU, at least in terms of RPI.

Purdue game is big

Especially in terms of the Big 10 pecking order with regards to the Big 10 & moreso the NCAA tournament. Because we only play them once, it's huge. Beat the Boilers and I think it will be difficult for them to pass us in the pecking order for the NCAA. The loser doesn't get another crack unless they meet up in Indy.

At this point the Gophers' resume (despite the soft nonconference sked) is better than the Boilers, so a win Thursday distances us from the Boilers even more. Want to get to 6-3 at the halfway point, winning on Thursday makes that much more doable. I think Illinois is going to be a handful for us, home or road. I'm not real confident we'll beat them at The Barn. I'd peg the Illini as the second-best team in the Big 10 at this point.
