Top wrestling recruit

Logan Storley of Webster, SD (pop. something like 2,000 souls), verbally committed to be a Gopher and wrestle. He's a senior at Webster High School (2000 NCAA National Champ for the Gophers, Brock Lesnar's home town). He has five state titles and a 217-2 record.

This kid may be the best wrestler ever produced in SD...I say "may" because we've had some good ones including many Olympians.

Storley wrestled at 171 last season...he went 44-0. This summer he won a couple national titles wrestling at 171. He's playing football right now.

The wrestling team has always been a National Contender will Jay Robinson at the helm. I just hope that this year we have a shot at winning a NCAA title when tournament time comes around.

Every time I have gone to a Gopher wrestling meet, I am impressed with the atmosphere and the excitement... and I know very little about the sport.

If you ever get a chance to see the Gophers take on wisky, Oklahoma St., or (of course) Iowa --- I highly recommend it.
