It seems like someone on this board can always answer just about any question I have. We were toying with the idea of going to the Greek Isles in May (right before peak season) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, or if there are any packages you'd recommend that would be a good deal? Pretty much open to anything, I'm a pretty laid back traveler and don't like to plan too much (unlike my life at home, haha) - so any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

You might want to take a look at the forums on trip advisor. They're usually pretty helpful. I think their Greece overview should be found here, (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g189398-Greece-Vacations.html) along with a link to the forum.
Sorry I couldn't give you any specific advice, hopefully someone will be able to give you a firsthand account of things to check out. Good luck.

Excuse my spelling. Myknos would be very nice at that time. I'm not sure you would have any trouble staying anywhere at that time. When we went in late April and early May for three weeks, everywhere was fairly low occupancy. Indeed, many nice restaurants had almost no other costumers. If you are trying to meet a lot of people, it might be a tad early. The weather was good for people who do not want 80's. It all comes down to what you want. At that time you will not get the big social scene. Nonetheless, it is a very, very beautiful place that just shouts with history.
PS Unlike Italy, France, Germany, etc. Greece seems particularly not like North America, almost Middle East. We loved it. Everywhere you go, when you ask "do you speak English?" the answer will be "but of course!!" even if they don't. Given that the menu is in Greek, that can be an adventure.

Oh, there is an island that is a day trip out of Athena, begins with an 'S' (?) that really does make a very nice day trip. But, of course.
If you do not have a fear of heights, do Santorini for sure.
If you go to Myknos, get out of town too. Take the day trip over to the "D" place that has all the temples. Nice boat trip. "Demos"???
We stayed at a very nice hotel that was about a half mile out of Myknos on the coast and thought that was just great.
You will need a sweater and even a windbreaker for the boats and some nights. Driving around in Greece was wonderful practice for any Grand Prix or off road adventure.

I would check out what Rick Steves has to say.
