Apparently he bombed in one of his rap debuts in Las Vegas and threw a fit. I'm hoping this is just a big, elaborate, drawn-out attempt to convince everyone he is crazy, and he will go back to being a good actor. He was great in Gladiator and Walk the Line.

i read in the paper that his brother-in-law, casey afleck, is making a documentary on phoenix's retirement from acting and budding rap career--which is being handled by diddy.

Are you referring to "Two Lovers"?

According to IMDB, that movie was made a while ago, and technically premiered in 2008. He hasn't acted since he "retired" from acting.

I just saw the preview last night when I went to see The Wrestler.
