Not sure if this has been posted on here, sorry if it has all ready but I thought some of you would like this. It is done by Slam Magazine, it is there top 50 dunks of all-time for college basketball. It is a sweet video and brings back lots of memories when I first saw these dunks live or on ESPN. Enjoy and have a safe weekend!

:drink:That was good stuff!
Clyde Drexler dunking over the Lil General should be higher..

I object to this list. It does not contain the greatest dunk of all-time.
That would be Bob Martin's 1990 dunk against Iowa State. He missed the dunk and the rim flipped it back so high that it hit the scoreboard at the Barn.
Apple Valley was never prouder.

The Dirk Minniefield (UK) dunk in 1983 was spectacular but the best dunk by a UK player that I ever saw was James Lee jumping OVER a Soviet 7-footer in Nov 1977 exhibition game. Lee was a powerful dunker.

I feel like a lot fo the Honorable Mention dunks were better than at least the first few on that list. This is a pretty epic compilation though.

Clyde the Glide's was my favorite, and the Hak Warrick at #30 my second. Nice compilation and I can appreciate all the work that went into it.
Seemed like the alley-oop did not really get considered though, but put-backs were.

There's a few very memorable dunks from my memory bank that I think have to be included in the Top 50, if not the top 10:
As much as I hate Duke, I don't know that I recall a better dunk than the alley-oop from Bobby Hurley to Grant Hill in the NCAA championship game (featured in the honorable mention of this compilation):

Also featured in the honorable mention category was Jerry Stackhouse's dunk over Duke that demands inclusion:

From two Final Fours ago, Durrell Summers dunk over Stanley Robinson:

Jason Richardson was prolific during his short time at Michigan State, but I don't know that I'm seen a better in-game dunk then the one he put down against Arizona during his freshman season (starts at 3:37 of this clip):

No youtube found on this dunk, but from a Gopher fan perspective, the Sam Jacobson baseline drive and tomahawk throwdown against Iowa (at least that's how I remember it) deserves mention-and deserves a place on youtube.
The '88-89 Flyin' Illini (most memorable in my mind is Kenny Battle & Kendall Gill) could really light up the crowd, as evidenced in this clip:

A dunk I recall with great memories is from my college days (1992, 93?) when Oklahoma traveled to either Duke or UNC. They were down nearly double digits late in the game when Angelo Hamilton got a breakaway opportunity and rose up to slam down a 360 dunk-Vitale was speaking in tongues, he couldn't believe the craziness of doing that dunk at that moment in the game. Unfortunately no youtube video exists.
And historically speaking, you can't forget Lorenzo Charles. Doesn't garner beauty points, but when your dunk at the buzzer brings home a NCAA championship, it belongs on the list:

Was at that game as a student during that game - definitely one of the most memorable Gopher dunks I remember.
One of the other ones that always sticks in my mind was an alley-oop to John Thomas during that game we played at Target Center vs. West Virginia.

This video is basically a montage of bad non-calls on some pretty blatant offensive fouls. At least over 50% I'd be willing to say.

Or from a more crude standpoint, a lot of guys who stood in there only to get a crotch shoved in their face.
And speaking of crotches, none of these "Top 50" compare to my favorite dunk of all-time (college or pro)... be sure to watch the slow-mo replay at the end.

I probably didn't watch it close enough but it seemed like a general lack of Big 10-related dunking. Some very good ones, to be sure.

That would have been tough to rank. To me, there was about 30 dunks that were all the same dunk. Jason Richardsons at the end of the above link was better than all of them, because it came off of a blocked layup and was pure instinct and atheleticism. Too bad you have to sit through 3 minutes and 30 seconds of Michigan State dunks and bad music to get to it, (turn down the sound)
couple nominees from the pros-- Maurice Cheeks in about 1984 going up and over some 7 footer like Manute Bol or Shawn Bradlee
and last year against the Timberwolves, I can't remember who right now but he goes up to catch the half court alley oop pass and the pass was so far behind him that he had to turn it into a 360. That was probably the highlite of my T-Wolves season tickets

I have seen this list on a number of different boards. I agree with you about the Lorenzo Charles dunk. It wasn't spectacular, but... Also, I find it odd that there wasn't any mention of Darrell Griffiths or Dominique Wilkins, and I thought Sidney Wick's dunk against Artis Gilmore from the 1970 Final should have been included, if, for no other reason, than it was illegal and surprised everyone. Finally, in the fall of '82 UVa played Georgetown in Landover, Maryland and Sampson and Ewing each had a dunk against the other. They were both monster plays. I suppose finding video of all these plays might be a tad difficult.
