I wonder what he did to prompt the coaches to stop recruiting him. Well, good luck to him regardless.

I really hope he doesn't qualify academically, which was cited as the reason the Gophers stopped recruiting him.

Otherwise, as I said long ago, they will be sorry they didn't keep him on board.

Oh and pass any extra Kool-Aid this way. The season is almost here and I have crazy images of the Gophers beating USC dancing around in my head. I need more of the Kool-Aid to see what happens, but I'm thinking Barkley gets knocked out of the game and Mustain poops the bed.

It was allegedly NCAA Clearinghouse issues, which have nothing to do with Va Tech or any other individual school. If he can't pass the Clearinghouse, he isn't going to Va Tech or any other school. If he does pass...the Gophers look like idiots.

To you they may look like idiots. But I can't hold them pulling the offer against them. Especially with his Downy-soft commitment and comments that he wanted a Wisconsin offer. It seems to me that Minnesota was a fall back option and this guy was just looking to play the Gophers while garnering better options. I can't blame them for not wanting to go along with that circus if that's what was actually going on. But of course, that's all purely speculation.

Not really. The kid still has to get into the actual school, and schools often have higher standards than the clearinghouse. Most Big Ten schools are much harder to get into than most SEC schools (I know VT is in the ACC) which is why you often see big time prospects that Big Ten schools won't even go after. We've had a few recruits that qualified according to the NCAA but couldn't get into the school (Vince Hill, the DT that ended up at Memphis and a few others). Farrow's scholly didn't just get pulled because of that because coaches recruit guys every year with grade issues and if they don't think they'll get in they just fill his spot with another guy while still signing him (oversigning). I don't know exactly why Farrow's scholly got pulled but I'm guessing it was a combination of poor grades and him being a legacy recruit that committed right away and the staff felt would be solid and then almost immediately opened back up and got wishy washy. Judging from the comments I've heard he's been making to other Gopher recruits on FB he seems to be pretty bitter about the whole thing
 




I thought he wanted to go to Michigan. Or maybe he just attended camp there?
 

I wonder if he committed while him and PantherHawk were Dutch Ruddering each other.

P.S. Farrow got a 1.8 GPA last semester.

Did you see Zack and Miri Make a Porno? Underrated, hilarious comedy. Jay of "Jay and Silent Bob" fame absolutely kills it. Search on You Tube for the "Dutch Rudder" clip. You won't be disappointed.
 

Panthertwat was spewing his propaganda on Farrows facebook page the last month. Can anyone really confirm if the low grades is a rumor or truth becasue I know he was a soft verbal in the first place and talked about still looking around after he committed.

That was supposed to be shot in St. Cloud. Don't know what happened to move the film location, but I definitely would have been stalking the movie set if it were up there.

Kevin Smith: Initially, the first draft of the script was St. Cloud, Minnesota because I'd gone and done a college gig there the same year that I started writing Zack and Miri. And I was like, this is the coldest f***ing place I've ever been in my life. I went outside to have a cigarette before the Q&A, and I was outside 30 seconds and my beard froze. I was like, ugh, who could live in this. So when I started writing it, I was just like I want to set the movie in the last place in the world anyone would think to make porn. So it was St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Then, between that and the second draft, when we were actually figuring out how we were going to shoot it, Minnesota didn't offer a great tax rebate and that's what it's all about now. Weinstein Company, almost every studio wants you to shoot someplace where they're going to get a big kickback, some kind of tax rebate.
 

His offer from Wisconsin never came and they also have 2 commits from Florida CBs. As stated earlier, grades were the issue and UW, like Minnesota was waiting to see if he was going to improve them.
 


I can confrim low grades to an extent. I know many upcoming Seniors on the Eden Prairie football team and they all hang out with Farrow. They were the ones who told me he dropped a 1.8 GPA last semester.

PS. Would a normal Dutch Rudder just be one person and someone doing it to them then?
