Last I heard, he was going to NDSU.

Josh's High School Lifting partner and teammate Adam Schueller, 6-4, 295, Fergus Falls, MN, OL is going to NDSU next year as well, so thats why Josh is coming.

NDSU also is in the final 2 with (southern illinois) for 4 star Tyler Westphal of Wisconsin Badgers to transfer, he visited fargo yesterday.

I hope NDSU gets Westphal. Not a bad couple of players heading to the Bison.

The recruiting term for Westphal would be "a bust."

Bingo! If he were good he would be staying, transferring laterally, or transferring to a better program. He would not be transferring down.

my wife is from fergus falls, her family knows the campions. josh didn't qualify due to academic reasons-which is the real reason he is going to ndsu! if josh could make the grades he would be a gopher. congratsto ndsu though, both will be good players if they can stay healthy. kind of surprises me they wouldn't choose sdsu since sdsu actually wins though!

Actually the term we like to use most is bounceback. Any kid that transfers down a level is typically referred to as such.

I don't know if I'd go that far. Badger fans heard a lot of great reports about Westphal from inside the program, but he could never stay healthy or get healthy. I think if he can get his body right he will have a big impact wherever he goes.

Dude, NDSU WON vs minnesota, sdsu with their best team ever couldnt. give us a break.

Campion is probably going to be good up in NDSU. I wouldn't be too excited about the kid, he either sounds like a real head case or dumb as rocks. The kid had an entire year of doing nothing but lifting and getting his grades/tests right academically. Either he couldn't get in with nothing else on his table (dumber than rocks) or even when he had an obvious goal that is attainable he couldn't get his academic profile good enough (head case). I hope he grows up a bit and figures it out and has a good career at NDSU.

As far as Westphal, I've heard mixed things about the kids. Some of my best friends are die-hard bucky guys and a tiny bit plugged into the program. They seemed to think he had some talent but that he wasn't tough enough (missed time for stuff he shouldn't, complainer, etc.). Maybe he is better off being a bigger fish in a small pond.

Westphal and Campion should be great additions and are definitively worth the risk

Congratulations, NDSU beat the worst Gopher team ever! What an accomplishment since 10 other teams did so as well..now lets get back to the present and stop playing with the past.

If Campion goes to prep school, what are the chances he's a Gopher in 2011?

depending on his grades, its 50-50. NDSU or MINNESOTA. Just a matter of which he qualifies for.

sad to see him take this route, the kid has talent!

NDSU fans..Thought I would inform you that it looks like the new coaching staff at Youngstown State is getting things together and got some nice looking guys coming in. A transfer QB from Purdue by the name of Najee Taylor, and word is out an Ohio State transfer at FB by the name of Jermil Martin. Should be an interesting conference in the coming years if Youngstown State can get back in the mix. They are also breaking ground on a state of the art indoor facility across from the stadium with the help of the sweater vests money. Look forward to the Penguins hosting SIU, UNI, and NDSU, however my attendance at those games all depend on the Gophers kick off time of course.

No thanks, rather not. There was some discussion on NDSU so I see no harm throwing some stuff out about a school in my backyard which has some Big Ten guys coming in, sort of let them know they are not the only sub division school that is picking up FCS guys and what not. Sorry to offend anyone.

its better to ignore lakesbison if anyone acknowledges his punk a** he comes back with more garbage talk about him and ndsu. if we are all lucky dateline nbc will catch lakesbison trying to get 15 yr old girls in his window-less van and future prospects through his bedroom door

I figured with your user name, you were not a NDSU fan. No offense taken, and no apology necessary.

Bob Sounds like you are pretty close to the situation... I have a couple of questions for you. First, was Josh ever asked to leave the team or did he respectfully leave on his own for other reasons? Second, what prep school is he doing to and who recommended he go there? You seem to know a lot of inside information on Josh. Why don't you do some research and air it online? You have done a pretty good job of throwing a kid under the bus who had more than enough negatives to air about the program but kept his mouth shut.

You got me. The only people who can tell me those two things probably wouldn't tell me. I wish nothing but the best for the kid and was disappointed that he wasn't going to be part of the team. Just as much as Nick Rengel, Marquis Hill, Herschell Thornton and Dwight Tillman. There's obviously a reason why and I'm sure Josh is pretty disappointed. It sounds like he is from the tenor of your posts.

Josh is actually very happy and grateful for his current situation. I am still waiting for Bob_Loblaw for answer my questions...
