this isn't a debate: Top Gear. if you have 40 minutes and haven't seen this episode--watch it! it is hilarious, my wife doesn't know anything about cars and she LOVES it, and for car guys--a proper road trip by three (hilarious) british car guys from frisco to the bonneville salt flats in american muscle cars. they start out with their normal derision towards american cars, but end up having a lot of fun. it also has some of the best cinematography of any TV show on the television (which doesn't come through very well on you tube).
and did i mention it is hilarious!

I took the advice from someone here a while ago and have been making my way through season one of Dexter--I like it a lot.
Can't argue with Rock of Love--the Bus season.. The dumbest people on the planet!!

Seriously. I still watch it on PBS or BBCA whenever I get the opportunity. Terry Jones, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, and Graham Chapman were the best collection of writer/innovator comedians ever put together. Even if I have seen the sketch numerous times, I still laugh.

Tonight's first episode of American Idol will be a riot. Once the grossly untalented have been eliminated in a few weeks, the show becomes more serious and decidedly less fun, IMO.

My wife actually enjoys Top Gear more than I do, but this is one of my favorite clips. You just can't beat a car in an elevator.

There was supposed to be a US version of the show starring Adam Corolla, but I think it's been canned. There have been a few shows mentioned in the thread already that I enjoy like 24 and Dexter. I'd like to add Chuck to the list, as I think it doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. But my favorite show on TV right now has to be Hustle. British based show about a group of con-men and how they dupe their victims. It's like TNT's Leverage, but I find it slightly more entertaining.
