For anyone holding out hope Kansas might be on the Gophers' schedule (as first reported by Sidfart), not gonna' happen in 2010-11 according to Lawrence Journal World. The Jayhawks' nonconference schedule was released today:

Nov. 12: LONGWOOD
Nov. 15: VALPO (Las Vegas Invitational)
Nov. 19: NORTH TEXAS
Nov. 23: TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI (Las Vegas Invitational)
Nov. 26: vs. Ohio (Las Vegas Invitational)
Nov. 27: vs. Arizona (Las Vegas Invitational)
Dec. 2: UCLA
Dec. 7: vs. Memphis (Jimmy V Classic)
Dec. 11: vs. Colorado State (Sprint Center)
Dec. 18: USC
Dec. 22: at Cal
Dec. 29: TEXAS-ARLINGTON
Jan. 2: MIAMI OF OHIO
Jan. 5: UMKC
Jan. 9: at Michigan

Maybe with the Kansas-Michigan home-and-home wrapping up this season, perhaps Mr. Self is looking to begin a home-and-home with a different Big Ten program next season? I know Gopher Lady would have a suggestion about which Big Ten program that should be.;)

Their schedule is heavy on the Pac 10, for sure. What also stands out is 5 games vs. major conferences, + Memphis.

Also see that Badgers are playing a tough roadie @ UNLV on Nov. 20th.

SS, your instincts about Kansas looking to the Big Ten to replace UM on the schedule are OTM. However, Coach Matta reported a few weeks ago that they were working on a home & home with Kansas ('11-12 @ KU, then '12-13 @ OSU), and that it was almost a done deal. He never mentions deals that don't get done. FWIW.

That's a nice home-and-home for the Bucks. Apparently the best we can manage for a home-and home is Saint Joseph's.
