Per Nooram's post, looks like the nonconference schedule is finalized, except for the ACC opponent and the Puerto Rico Tip-Off quarterfinal. The home opponents are a clear upgrade from last season. The home schedule has what should be a minimum of 4 solid opponents (Akron, Siena, Wofford & the ACC opponent. ... hopefully Clemson, NC State or Virginia Tech), and it's short on RPI killers.

However, I am disappointed there is not a BCS home-and-home series beginning either on the road (which reportedly the Gophers were looking for) or at home. What that means is in 2011-12, Gopher season-ticket holders once again may not see a BCS opponent at The Barn, with the exception of a possible ACC Challenge game.

Overall, a thumbs-up to the 2010-11 home schedule. An effort was made to get better opponents, and it appears we have minimized the number of king-size creampuffs that drag down a team's strength of schedule. No complaints here.

Final 2009-10 RPI is listed in parentheses.

Home (8)
1. Siena (31)
2. Wofford (69)
3. Akron (89)
4. Buffalo (108)
5. Eastern Kentucky (155)
6. South Dakota State (234)
7. North Dakota State (268)
8. TBD (ACC/Big Ten Challenge opponent)

Road (1)
1. Saint Joseph's (184)

Neutral (3)
1. Quarterfinals of Puerto Rico Tip-Off: West Virginia (4), Vanderbilt (26), North Carolina (92), Western Kentucky (132), Hofstra (145), Nebraska (149) or Davidson (179)

2. 2nd game of Puerto Rico Tip-Off
3. Final game of Puerto Rico Tip-Off

Current Average RPI of All Nonconference Opponents: 142.25

Current Average RPI of Home Nonconference Opponents: 136.285
