Tubby had been out to see this kid a few months ago, I think there is family in the Twin Cities as well.. but Hunter Mickelson is apparently staying close to home and committed to Arkansas today. Good looking 2011 forward.

Today's THV tidbit (http://www.todaysthv.com/sports/hogzone/story.aspx?storyid=104123&catid=189)

Interesting in that maybe Tubby sees a nice opportunity waiting for him in Arkansas.

Well.. if the right hire is made relatively soon, maybe the new coach can keep that impressive class pretty well intact.

I assume Hunter has been caught off guard on this.

Interesting in that Arkansas hopes to land Mike Anderson from Missouri and might go after Buzz Williams if Anderson turns them down. It would be great if the Gophers could pull a previous commitment from GTech, Arkansas, or Missouri to round out their current class. I know we were in on BJ Young at one time, but I believe we took a look at his grades and stopped recruiting him (don't take this as fact as it could be another guard we looked at who's grades we didn't like).

If Tubby goes anywhere this year (unlikely) I think Arkansas is it. But I don't see either side jumping at each other.

Tubby won't be going back to the SEC, ever.

How about Tubby hire a new assistant for Minnesota?
