coolhand,

>>there was a movie I knew I was forgetting, and I see several others sited it later. . .that would be Cool Hand Luke<<

I thought only grumpy old men were allowed to forget things around here...and only old farts like me were allowed to edit their previous posts.

CHL is a good one, for the ensemble work as much as for Newman.

Sarah - The Princess Bride must have more lines that beg to be used in real life. One's I've used: "Get used to disappointment" "There is something you don't know - I am not left handed!" "Have fun storming the castle" "You rush a miracle man you get bad miracles" "Mostly dead is not the same as all dead" Listing all the things you have to do then,"...my wife to murder and Gilda to frame for it - I'm swamped!"
We have a few comedies that are favorites here for repeat watching, some with lines that have become part of our family lexicon:
The Princess Bride (above)
Men in Black: "I hate the living" "Elvis is not dead, he just went home"
Men in Black 2 "Would you like some mini-pizzas"
Galaxy Quest "The red thingy is getting closer to the green thingy - I think we're the green thingy"
Its GROUNDHOG DAY!
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid "Who are those guys?!"

I saw Benjamin Buttons last night. I can tell you this for certain. Cate Blanchett, not Brad Pitt, would have been more deserving of an acting nomination.
