Cosgroves Husker recruits

FWIW, Rivals shows Cosgrove recruited 9 players in his four years. One was a JUCO LB Octavian
(05) who was the D-MVP in 07, Ganz (04) starter @ QB, 3 Sophs who now start and 1 WR (05) listed as 3 deep. Two (07) are not listed on the roster and a (04) was just listed on the 05 roster.

I'm kind of curious how accurate those "recruited by" attributions really are. I don't know how long they've been keeping track, and who's to say only one coach was recruiting a player? I would hope they hear from the defensive coordinator in addition to position coaches if you are a defensive recruit - in that situation, perhaps only the position coach is listed, but the coordinator may still have a weighty impact.

Just my two cents. I don't have any insider information about how those are accounted, but I don't think they tell the whole story of whom is a good recruiter and whom is not.
