The Buzz: A tip of the hat to Tom Izzo, who somehow is in another Final Four this year despite losing his best player from a team "not all that highly regarded to begin with."

Wasn't MSU pretty much in everyone's top 4 at the beginning of the season?

Good point, though if that's the case they certainly didn't make it very clear.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure MSU was #2 in some preseason polls. If they meant start of the tourney, okay, but the way that's worded, I highly doubt that's the case.

Not highly regarded...

I think it means whoever wrote that had Kansas coming out of that region for their bracket.

I truly wish MN sports media jobs were electable positions.

We shouldn't quibble about "wording" in the STRIB sports pages. I believe the Senior Editor of the sports page is Sid.
