Izzo to Oregon?!?!!?

Izzo will retire from Michigan St. and he will become a coach they name stadiums after. Much more than Judd Heathcoat (sp?). The guy has it all there and he is a fantastic coach. They lose their top player half way through the tournament and he's still in the final four. Oregon has already been told no by about 8 different coaches, so they're on to plan H or so...

That is funny! They got Pitt which may help us with Mo Walker. Not one to spread rumors, but if CBS could report on simultaneous moves for Barnes (Texas), Calhoun (UConn) and Wright (Villanova - have seen he has previously interviewed for Sixers job) it may help the Gophers with Cory. Calling Dennis Dodd - there is a scoop here.

The only place Izzo would go, IMHO, is the NBA.

I don't think that is out of the realm of possibilities at some point.

Mike Pratt headed the UK search committee last spring. Izzo was one of 2 candidates (among 3 contacted) who were definitely interested in the UK job. Calipari was the other (1 of 2). Donovan was the 3rd (not interested).

Tom Izzo is THE best coach in college basketball. Hands down. He's doing as well at MSU as he could anywhere and he's a living legend there. There's no reason to give that up.

If UK had a shot at Izzo and chose Cal, they deserve what happens to them.

Oregon should be focusing on Mark Few and Randy Bennett.
