Working hard
Of all the things the guy said, the thing that stood out is mentioning the Gophers were a hard-working team. I think sports fans around here -- even the ones who tend to be cynics first -- appreciate hard-working teams, even if they're not the most talented.
That was my main problem with the previous regime. Never really got the feeling the players knew what hard work was, and that's the head coach's responsibility. Once Tubby got hired, I think the returning players found out what busting your a*s night in and night out really meant. And to the players' and Tubby's credit, the results are now showing, even in an ugly game like last night. There's an increased level of "toughness" in the program.
