Schroeder Signs with Canucks

Jordan Schroeder left the Gopher Hockey program after 2 years and signed a 3 year 2.7 million dollar contract. He will head up to Manitoba to join the Canucks AHL affiliate the Moose.

Not surprised considering the state of the program. Mediocrity is currently defined by what the hockey program has become over the past three years.

Guys like Schroeder have made the state of the program. We need a lot less of them and more guys like, uh, that one kid who hits everything that moves and makes it hurt. Sorry, I should be able to remember his name, there's really only one of him wearing a Gopher uniform. Anyway, my guess is we won't miss Schroeder and he never came here to stay for more than a couple of years. Where the heck are the 6'2", 225 pound d-men who can turn momentum our way with a board-rattling check?
