According to Andy Katz.

Don't be shocked if Landesberg is somewhere else next season. UVA coaches won't be shocked.

Please Tubby go after this guy!! He's already played in The Barn, so he knows what it would be like. He'd be a stud here for 2 years. Landesberg, Royce, Mbakwe, Cory, Devoe....gives me chills thinking about it.

He's a good player. He stayed through the coaching change, I'm surprised he'd leave UVa now.

He could be a wesley johnson type transfer.

He could be a wesley johnson type transfer.
Doesn't ring a bell. What's the implication?

Best player on the #1 (until today) team in the country.

I don't think he's quite Wes Johnson (who, incidentally, has been ice cold for about a month now) caliber, but he's definitely an impact player. Lots of teams would like to get their hands on him.

But he was a transfer?

Yes, Wes Johnson transferred from ISU after his soph season.

Landesberg has been suspended for the remainder of the season for academic reasons. But supposedly it was merely for failing to attend a class he otherwise passed. Not sure if that will scare Tubby/Maturi away. I'd hope not.

I'd guess he has said, "eff school and this terrible season... I'm going pro next year" and Bennett didn't appreciate the attitude and decided to end his season now.
It would be nice of him to wear an orange suit to the draft. Who knows, maybe some team will waste a late first round pick on him. More likely he'll be a second round pick and have a crappy career.
(PS - the talk of him coming to Minnesota is ridiculous from any and all angles)
PPS - This week Virginia had taken another commit - Billy Baron, which pushed them into an 'oversigned' status for next year.. SL leaving would 'clear that up', although there may be additional movements at Virginia prior to next fall.
