The Skinny: Dayton in a world of hurt after blowing a late lead @ Richmond. Don't rule out the Pac 10 getting a second bid, as ASU and U-Dub continue to hang on for dear life. ... Today, bubble teams across the country unite in their support of Northern Iowa (sorry Rick;)), which tackles Drake at 12:05 p.m. in the Missouri Valley Conference quarters. A UNI loss means the bubble shrinks by 1.

Friday's Conference Tournaments
Atlantic Sun (semifinals)
Colonial (1st round)
Horizon (2 quarterfinals)
Metro Atlantic (1st round)
Missouri Valley (quarterfinals)
Ohio Valley (semifinals)
Southern (1st round)
West Coast (1st round)

SS,

B101 now has Memphis in. Would you agree?

Absolutely not. No way, no how at this point. Can't see Memphis as an at-large.

Perhaps if they get to the C-USA final with a third win over UAB, then maybe I'd have to take a look at it.

I don't think they're calling Memphis an at-large in this link. They're calling them a bid-stealer, meaning they're projecting Memphis to win the C-USA Tournament. Ditto for Washington in the Pac 10.

I also read the comments from the blog. Do you think Wisconsin is deserving of a higher seed than Michigan State?

Badgers deserve a higher seed than Sparty, no matter what the Big Ten records say. Only thing that could change that is if Spartans win BTT to go along with share of the regular-season title, and Badgers fall early in Indy. I'm not banking on either of those things happening

FYI..Lunardi has them as the first team out of the tournament today. He dropped the gophers a couple spots to the ninth team out as well.

Memphis and the Gophers are equally deserving of an at-large bid as of today. ... as in, not at all. Can't for the life of me figure out why Lunardi has Memphis as one of his first 4 out. Josh Pastner must have something on him.

UNI beats Drake, so the Panthers move on. Hope they keep moving on.

SS,

With no intention of being snarkish or negative, have you visualized an NIT contestant list?

It seems there could be some "big" name schools in the NIT this year. North Carolina, Louisville, and Memphis for example.

What say you?

I can be such a moron.

Did I say Louisville? Nevermind. They beat Syracuse today.
