i just heard mark rosen and he said, deal no done yet. but reporting from him. it could be worth up to 20 millions per season.

Does anyone know the total $$$ of this deal? My guess is $200 mil. Am I far off? Pujols is curious also!

new report the deal is to belive to be. 10 years 200 millions. wow. he would be the first Twins ever to hit 200 millions in a contract.

Wasn't there just an article in the Star Tribune about Twinsfest where Mauer was being interviewed and Morneau walked behind him and yelled "10 year extension, 20 per year!"

I assumed that was a joke. It would be crazy if that was actually true. Maybe people are just reporting Morneau's joke as reality.

When Rosen breaks stories like this, I tend to believe him, regardless of what the national media says.

Rosen said that he was staking his reputation on Favre signing with the Vikings a few weeks before training camp right before the "I'm staying retired," bit.

If it were any other local sports figure, I'd have my doubts, but Rosen has some good sources.
