Who will win Reusse's Turkey of the Year Award?

Here are some of my personal choices.

McHale-Taylor
Childress-Zigi
Culpepper

Let's hear yours.

It'll be McHale for sure. The last trade for Love will seal-the-deal.

It would have to be McHale, but let's not disallow the absurd from Pat. Brew will get a mention.

Pat likes to come in from left field. Marion Gaborik.

I think the obvious choices are too obvious or previous winners and he went national last year.

This year he'll stay local and pick a someone not affiliated with a team. My prediction is that he sets-up the article to point towards Jeff Dubay and winds-up giving it to the "ultimate turkey" Paul Allen. It would be epic and provide Reusse with enough material to write a hilarious article. My second prediction is Sid Hartman.

I'm probably one of the few who loves Reusse and views him as the best in our state. I see him going after the media. He seems disallusioned with the industry- especially the state of the newspapers and the emergence of bloggers being treated as legitimate sources. The situation is ripe to choose one of his own.

They're all in cahoots. I doubt he'd go in that direction. I don't think they eat their own.

I think Brewster has to get real consideration after starting 7-1, having his name tossed around for COY, being mentioned for SEC coaching vacancies, Maturi was flooded with emails demanding we give Brew a new contract for life and then we went and lost 4 in a row, including all three trophy games against our rivals, culminating in the 55-0 epic beatdown by Herky to close out he dome era in front of all the former players, media, etc.

After last night he might. But I think he would have had to be the root of some of that for pat to call him on it.

How about the Favre situation??

It's Gabby, and well deserved, too.

I see Paul Giel got it in 1983. Was that for moving into the Metrodome or for the Nebraska slaughter?

I love how a few of the past turkey winners went on to have a good year following their selection. That said, the whole Timberwolves franchise should have been top 3, but I can agree with Gaborik. What moron he is this year. Lou Nanne mentioned how Gabby not playing hurts everyone in a possible re-signing or a trade. Talk about losing your value, sheesh.
