Approx 6:30pm central time tonight, available at http://www.montverde.tv/

It's the championship game of the Montverde Academy (Florida) Invitational Tournament. Findlay Prep goes up against host school Montverde Academy. Findlay is regarding as one of the top schools in the nation.. Montverde has been more around the 15-20 range for much of the year, but they have some players.

A number of big time players in this one, including of course Cory Joseph. Findlay beat Oldsmar Christian 83-53 and Arlington Country Day 75-68 (Cory with 25 vs. Arlington in the semis). Cory will be in jersey #5... not sure how good the feed will be tonight. But, the other guy to watch is his Canadian buddy, 6'10" Tristan Thompson (#12), who is Texas-bound next year.

For Montverde, they beat a very good Montrose Christian team last night 59-57, thanks to a late key shot from the homie Jamail Jones. For the Eagles, watch for:
Jamail Jones #22, 6'6" stud, who is heading to Marquette (who won at #19 UCONN this afternoon, btw!!!!)
James Bell #32, 6'5" guard going to Villanova
Papa Samba Ndao #12, 6'9" kid off to Boston College in the fall
Ugo Okam #30, 7-footer going to... Harvard

Wow, Montverde sure isn't hurting for talent either. I might try to check that out. Thanks.

Definitely - big, big win for us. Very similar situation to the one the Gophers are looking at in Columbus tomorrow. It's nice to be on the winning end of one of these close games for once... Marquette has been stuck being rated the most unlucky team per Pomeroy for weeks... (with Minnesota in the top 10 unluckiest as well). But, plenty more work to do.

PS - the kids are warming up in Florida.. game time momentarily.

Here's a pic from signing day at Montverde:

Great game - James Bell was ON in the game against Findlay... the students were great, fantastic tourney all around.

Cory Joseph missed a couple late when trying to get the game tied up, but had a good game -- there was no doubt who Findlay's go to guy is. He steps up in tight situations and wants to take charge. I've always been impressed watching him and last night was no exception - defense, long-range shooting and taking it to the hole... all very good.
