Well, best laid plans and all that. Came home last night to discover we had a sewer back-up in the basement and half-bath off our kitchen and laundry room. So, we've been mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, and swearing (not in that order ... lots of swearing).
I was able to get today's lines up but that was it.
Still undecided about tomorrow but it's clear we'll not be hosting New Year's Eve. My darlin' wife has that glint in her eye, however, that we got some deferred discarding to do in the laundry room and the basement. I guess it correlates to kicking off the New Year?!?
So, we'll see about posting tomorrow's lines ... no promises one way or another. And results from today's games (12/31) will likely not be posted 'til some time on Friday.
Please keep me in your prayers ... I've seen that glint before and just barely survived the last time. ...

- Cincinnati beats UConn by 2 and covers.
- UConn, Illinois, Northwestern UAB and Temple had three picks apiece and were all consensus picks. Only NU benefited from the spread so consensus went 1-4 for the night. Ouch!
- Has ATTF soured on last year's fav, Vandy? Vandy easily covered their -17 spread but ATTF picked UConn and lost.
- SelectionSunday made a late edit and picked Wm & Mary that beat Maryland outright (and didn't need the benefit of the +11.5 pt spread). From the box score and the one article I skimmed, sounds like the key difference is that Wm & Mary made their 3-pointers while the Terrapins didn't. Nice pick, SS.
- Harvard (-4.5) rides to victory over George WAshington (66-53). Harvard is unbeaten at home (6-0) and has a 9-3 overall record. I chided SS not to exclude them as possible Ivy League conference reps for the NCAAs and see he's included 'em. Go Crimson!
