The man coached the Broncos for like 15 yrs, he will not be an OC ANYWHERE.

Haha hilarious! We can dream, right?

Shanahan being fired by Denver is about as smart as Saunders being fired by the TWolves - absolutely stupid.

Hey. A man can dream! After 14 straight years in the NFL who says he wants to continue to coach there. He has ties to Brewster and Minnesota. Would you want to go to Detroit?

Good point, Born...However, Detroit would be a good place for Shanahan to go...no matter what happens, he will look good, right?

No matter what he did the management of the Lions would somehow screw it up. He would have to get a deal guaranteed where he was coach and GM and got complete control over the draft...

Wouldn't hiring Shanahan be like rehiring Browning?

I think he was on Joe Salem's staff at the U.

Husker is right -- Shanahan was an OC here under Smokey Joe.

He will probably end up coaching again very soon, if not this year, next year at the latest, but I would be very surprised if he would ever coach at the collegiate level ever again.
