I was particularly impressed with his long bounce pass to Westbrook for the layup late in the first half. Plays like those are some of the most difficult, under appreciated plays in basketball.

Despite his lack of athleticism (for a D1 basketball player), Blake is one of our most valuable players. Him playing well is extremely important to us. I love watching his overall contributions and intelligent play.

I love Blakes game but where is he at the end of close games?

On the bench.

Tubby hasn't played him late in the game the past few games, and we saw what happened with the careless turnovers and low percentage shots in those games.

However, based on Tubby's starting lineup today and post-game press conference, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the floor at critical times more often from now on.

Tubby had some interesting thoughts about Blakes play in the post game interview.

Paraphrasing now (since I was driving from Williams and listening) Tubby pointed out that even in practice the offense runs a lot better with Blake. I got the impression that Tubby was not even sure what it is - but the offense runs considerably better with Blake on the floor.

He may continue to be a starter for a while and his minutes may continue to climb - even at the end of the game.

Tubby has always complimented Hoffarber for his "basketball IQ" and I thought it was well-deserved yesterday. Blake was getting positioned fairly well yesterday for rebounds. And, he made some good cuts to the basket as well as looking for the open man inside.

Tubby knows best. Blake is the best passer on the team.. and IMO his assists will continue to show that. He's much stronger (with his passing and rebounding) compared to last year.
