Interesting article on Big Ten Recruiting and its struggles.

There is only one BCS school that has had fewer players drafted by the NFL in the last four years than Minnesota. There are a handfull or so that have had the same number drafted.

Minnesota has produced more NFL draft choices than the University so there has been some talent drain. Numbers are so small that it probably does not have that big of an impact.

While this doesn't change your point, there are actually 11 BCS schools that have put fewer kids in the NFL via the draft than Minnesota based on the numbers in the article. We're at the bottom to be sure, but it could be worse.

You would think Mississippi State would produce more NFL Talent. I know the state of Mississippi is towards the top of the list for NCAA athletes per capita and they've got the best (IMO) JUCO league.
