I know there's nothing more boring than listening to a guy talk about his fantasy football team, but since my wife will not be a captive audience for me, I will spout off here. I am active in two fantasy football leagues, one of which is a dynasty league where we're able to keep 5 players. I stepped into the season in great shape-running backs Marion Barber and Marshawn Lynch, wide receivers Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald, and quarterback Tom Brady. I was able to add Chris Johnson, Santana Moss, Lee Evans, Kevin Smith, and Jerricho Cotchery in our auction draft. I stepped into the season very confident in my chances.
Of course, we know what happened with Brady. From that point forward, I was left scrambling-first with Marc Bulger at quarterback (my pathetic back up, given little thought cause Brady never gets hurt), followed by Matt Cassell (who I dumped too early when he was struggling), then Brian Griese, followed by J.T. O'Sullivan. Finally, I took a flyer on Tyler Thigpen who had put together a couple solid weeks. He has been my fantasy QB down the stretch, providing just enough points while the rest of my powerhouse lineup (Tashard Choice was a great late addition) took care of business.
Today, Tyler Thigpen stepped up and delivered in a huge way, netting 31 fantasy points for my team and propelling my team to the championship. When Brady went down, I never really thought I had a chance at the "title", but today I claim the prize, due in large part to Thigpen's play.
Thank you all who read this, you spared my wife from the inane ramblings of a guy on a fantasy football high!
